Small business owners are always looking to gain more customers, get more "likes" on Facebook and followers on Twitter. It's all about increasing reach and finding NEW customers. What about your loyal customers? Do you have a marketing strategy in place to keep them coming back? This group can be easily overlooked, while striving to get the new sales.
However, does a punch card (buy 10, get one free) really help your business? If you do have a loyalty program, watch the bottom line and make sure you're not giving away your product or service.
I'm not giving up on loyalty programs. Your marketing plan should include targeting both new and loyal customers.
Every business is different, but something successful businesses have in common is great customer service. Whatever you decide to do, treat every customer well, and make sure to remember the loyal customers that got you where you are today.
What do you think... are loyalty programs worth it?
