As 2014 is winding down, now is a good time to take a look back at the year.
What were some of your greatest accomplishments? What did you learn from what didn't work?
Make some resolutions to help you grow your business in 2015!
Be more organized: Make a monthly marketing or content calendar for what you plan to publish - website, social media, press releases, advertising, event information (invitations, photos). Don't forget to track your results: note the budget and success you had for each campaign.
Track your success: Do you have a database? A great database can help you target offers to specific groups, test campaigns and learn about your customers (purchase history, referrals, etc.). There are plenty of tools out there like Salesforce and Highrise as well as industry-specific options.
If you already have one, when is the last time you cleaned it up? Put a reminder on your calendar to update your database and get your list up-to-date.
Say thanks: Many businesses focus on the "next sale" or acquiring new customers. That's important, but don't forget the people that helped you be successful. Thank your current customers with a hand written thank you note (once a week, once a month... whatever you can do!), host a customer appreciation event or offer them a special deal.
Wishing you all the best in 2015. Happy Holidays!
